Agency continues growth strategy with acquisition
Quicklet has strengthened its foothold in Scotland's capital through the strategic acquisition of rental portfolios from LinnMac and Investment Lettings, marking another milestone in the company's measured expansion trajectory.
The newly acquired properties will transition to Albany Lettings, Quicklet's Edinburgh-based subsidiary, bolstering the group's asset base while deepening its operational capacity within the competitive Scottish lettings sector.
Since its establishment by co-founders Gavin McEvoy and Dermot O'Hanlon, Quicklet has pursued a dual-track expansion model combining organic portfolio development with selective acquisitions. This latest transaction underscores the firm's commitment to scaling operations without compromising service delivery standards.
Gavin McEvoy, co-founder of Quicklet, commented on the strategic rationale: "This acquisition represents a natural progression of the momentum we've cultivated in recent years.
"Our operational philosophy centers on delivering professional property management underpinned by robust systems and rigorous standards.
"Strengthening our Edinburgh presence through Albany Lettings enables us to extend this framework while ensuring landlords and tenants experience seamless continuity."
Dermot O'Hanlon, co-founder of Quicklet, emphasized the company's disciplined approach: "Our expansion strategy prioritizes sustainable infrastructure over volume metrics. We're building organizational capacity that supports quality management at scale.
"Every portfolio integration is executed with meticulous attention to operational continuity, minimizing friction for both property owners and occupants during the transition process."
To facilitate seamless portfolio integration, Angie McIntosh, senior property manager from LinnMac, will transition to the Albany Lettings operation. Her transfer ensures institutional knowledge of property specifics, landlord relationships, and tenant requirements remains intact throughout the handover.
This Edinburgh expansion follows a pattern of strategic acquisitions across Quicklet Group's operating territories, including the September 2024 integration of Robert Wilson Estate Agency's 180-property portfolio in Northern Ireland and the 86-unit Keyone Property portfolio in Belfast.
